Leopard Book-ends

Today I'd like to show my very special bookends. They are not expensive or collectable, but they are priceless to me.
You see Mom always bought our birthday and Christmas presents. Well, this was the year of the big snow and Mom couldn't go shopping, as she was afraid to drive in it.
Daddy came home with my presents after work, and among them were these darling bookends, which I affectionately named "Spot" and "Dot."
These little bookends may have gone the way with all my childhood toys and treasures, but I kept these, I think, just because Daddy got them for me, and there was just something special about that. I keep them in my school room, and I still love them. Have a blessed day, Kathi

Now Kathi, you know that I love you, but you also know that I have always coveted and lusted after those bookends! LOL! No, I am happy that you have them and that they are such a special memory of Daddy. They are so cute and I bet they are collectable now! They are so cute and I love the collection of old school books you are displaying too!

Love you, Sharon

Kathi,

Go visit Brenda at Country Romance. First she is asking prayer for three little children. Secondly, she shows pictures of her organized pantry and I think you would like it. She tells how she does it too.

Love ya, Shar

I too have a soft spot for the things, however few they were, that my POP gave me. In particuliar a big stuffed dog he gave me when I was 10 years old. I named him Neuman which is POP's name too! Spot & Dot are obviously near & dear to your heart! I totally understand why!

They ARE a treasure!!! What little girl doesn't treasure the things her daddy gets her just a little more, because they're much rarer than everything Mom does? :)
Thanks for sharing! Have a BLESSED day!

cute, but I'm laughing over your post below....brave woman to show yourself getting colored *U* I admire you- I would never have the guts. Anyways...I do it myself and sometimes there are "mishaps". Purple hair, green hair, accidental reds...the pitfals of DIY hair coloring! he he he.

I only have one thing that either of my parents got me. It is a shotgun that my father bought me a long time ago. I was made by Western Auto and it was already used when he bought it. I can still remember that day and everything that happened. I no longer use it but I keep it just the same to remember dad. Great post.

Kathi,
How sweet! Pieces of our father certainly are priceless, aren't they? I treasure every moment I have with my dad. Maybe you've already shared, but those books look pretty interesting, also!
